take some scrap in your car, they weigh you before and you dump it after at some places and pay you based on the difference

You better not be thinking about weighing your car

Depends if you go to one at a scrap metal place, or one at a flour mill or quarry.
I had my Corsa weighed at a flour mill and it was free.
VOSA have a few around too, if you want to chance it

Just jack it up and place a set of bathroom scales under each wheel then let it down.
Job done.

The one local to me is free. Just find one of those places that are next to the motorway and use that.

Go to a local haulier firm thats what I did. Parked on there weight bridge first, went to the office & asked nicely if I could weight my car even though the total weight was clearly displayed behind on the LCD they still said no but I got the info I needed.

I reckon it would work tbh.
All that weight he has stripped out, would barely tickle the scales.
Be perfect for corner weighting it too.
