im using maragoni zeta linears 195/45r15v and its shredding them, ive had 5 replaced now, its literally splittin the tread from the tyre and now ive just had one blow up after 2 months.

i dont rag it around vary rarly gets above 3000rpm and is fully tracked up. is the speed rating not enough as this is getting a joke now.

Why are you worried about the speed rating if you rarely go above 3k rpm??

V marked tyres are rated up to 149mph.

You will be doing no where near that so its irrelevant.

Maybe post up some pics of the tyres and what they look like.

Im sure some1 will be able to pick up on what is going on by looking at the damage etc.

what pressures do you run? has it come away on the outer edge as well? is it rubbing on the suspension or something?

Even the cheapest tyres should not fall apart like that.

Going by what I can see on that picture it looks like your tyres are rubbing on suspension arm.

no they arent rubbing, that was the first thing i checked, they are well clear of everything and 28 - 30psi, and its both the fronts twice and one rear whats done this.

plus also why would it do the same on the outside , cant rub on anything there

Why do you keep replacing them with the same tyres if they keep falling to bits? I wouldn't put my life in the hands of four tiny patches of ditch seeking rubber. They shouldnt be blowing after a couple of months though!

if theres anything id go as far as wasting money on itd be tyres and brakes, get yourself a good set of toyo's or yoko's or something like that, dont be cheap with something that is your only contact with the road

I work in a fast fit place and they only seem to go on old codgers motors, or shagged out daily drivers.

Spend a bit extra, tyres are one of the most important things on a car, Yokohama Parada Spec 2's can be had for decent money in 195/45/15, Toyo proxes arent bad in the dry.

Zeta Linears aren't remoulds and aren't the cheapest of the cheap out there tbh - Nankangs are still cheaper along with linglongs and all the other crap

I ran these on my C with no issues at all and stopped using them as mytyres stopped selling them at the time!

For 5 tyres to fail I'd say it's down to user error one way or another tbh -I agree with what everybody has said though about it looking like that's rubbing.

EDIT: I was running Eagle F1's on my XE.

are yoko s-drives anygood, and i kept replacing them as they have lifetime guarentee, i thought was a duff batch but the last 2 have been changed with the same.

the fault cannot possibly be caused by rubbing as the first place for the fault to start is on the outside of tyre and the cut/groove is going from the rim to the tread so cannot be my wings/ arches causing this.
