Just had a guy and his other half come to view my car, when i opened the door he muttered some think under his breath. Any way's he BRIEFLY looked round the car did'nt start it or any think, then looked at me and said it's not what his other half is after not the right colour or the slight mark here and there she doesn't like, despite her stood there saying no i like it i really like it. hmmmm guessing a young owner put him off could see why, oh and was a MCS

Just wondered if you went and viewed a car and liked it would a young owner put you off?

A young owner would only put me off if they seemed very chavvy or disrespectful. But tbh that's the same for any age!

If you are well mannered and act like a grown up why wouldn't someone want to buy from you?

not really long as the car didnt seem to have a hard life then it wouldn't bother me.

I would of questioned him saying his miss's likes it and the colour... sounds like a tool tbh typical time waster.

I remember selling my escort si with a exhaust system on it the guy that told me came to look at it in the dark with no touch light and tried to tell me the exhaust was blowing... I said no its got a backbox on, he said its blowing from the middle section i showed him it wasn't he couldn't feel the blow and it didnt sound like it was blowing...

Tools will be tools.....

Only if the owner was a typical chav cunt. You can usually tell the life its had by what mods it has on it if any. Or signs of wear. Or big holes in the back seat due to rockie burns from his resin

Viewed a corsa c exclusiv as my first car and turned up and the lad was there, Burberry cap pointed to the ceiling with his 2 chav mates all watching as i viewed the car, sitting on the bonnet of the clapped out BMW of one of the chav mates. Quite liked the car but felt so uncomfortable I didn't even have a proper look, just said I'd get back to him as I had other cars to view.

I've always purchased my cars for older people & if honest some times do have doubts when looking at cars owned by younger people, although like I say I'm far from a chav and live in a nice country village so guess it was probably my age or a time waster

This. Though would also add if it's covered in gash 'boy racer' accessories it'd put people off.
I look a right turd and usually wear scruffy clothes AND I live on a shit estate but not had problems selling to people.
Imho it's all about being honest and polite.
