Picked this up yesterday...

2007 (57) Vectra VXR 2.8T (280PS)
Hatchback
Full leather Recaros - Heated and Full Electric adjustment
Sat Nav
19s
Factory Xenons
Etc etc

Had it at the VxON Annual RR Day at Jamsport today - it made 280bhp / 311lb.ft - so pretty happy with that!

So far, very happy. Goes like nothing else I've driven, extremely smooth ride - even on the 19s, effortless pace, and the standard exhaust sounds pretty good too.

Might buy a Diff over the winter though...

I've always liked these, I once had one behind me driving so fast I thought it was a police car, until he overtook me

Cheers all,

Do have some plans - but long term;

Diff
Upgraded Brakes
Remap
Precat removal
Lowered Springs

Was thinking of a few aesthetic changes, maybe a light Anthracite for the wheels (though would prob get a second set and do them - 5-spoke Snowflakes)

Don't want to do a massive amount though, ideally want to keep it fairly stealthy!

Looks very understated in silver Anyone not in the know will be thinking it's a 1.9 diesel or something, that is until you disappear at an impressive rate

Cheers again everyone

Tax is a pain, but meh, got to take the hit if you want to use something like this unfortunately - I put a full year on it too... A 'mere' £445!

Paid for a full years insurance too, and the car has 11 months MOT left, so good to go for pretty much a year

Body roll doesn't seem too bad, obviously there is some, but the Electrically controlled dampers seem to do a good job! Only had 1 Clarkson-esque CATASTROPHIC UNDERSTEER moment, but burying the go pedal on a damp roundabout isn't going to help stop that!

It likes a drink - picked it up with 1/4 tank, put £60 of Super in to fill it up, then got just over 200 miles before i filled it up again this morning when it was between empty and a quarter...
