Right we are redecorating the whole flat.
Two bed with one bathroom. No ensuite.
We are thinking of binning the shower bath
for a large walk in shower with large rain head thingy.
Question is in this day and age would you be put off if a flat doesn't
Have a bath??
We have used it once in 18 months.

I would ditch the bath but i suppose it depends if you want to stay put or move in the future

I use mine most days, sometimes twice a day, definitely wouldn't even consider living somewhere that doesn't have one.
I expect that there are some people who put up with it but it would be a complete no no for me.

It's a risk, personally given the choice I'd take a shower over a waste of space bath any day, but not everyone thinks like that!

we don't have a bath and tbh on days when i ache from work/football i really wish i had one.
the positives are the cheap water bills and the ease of use factor.
we have a large double shower which is great for jumping in before work.
we are trying to design a plan which allows us to fit a bath and single shower in but need to fit a combi boiler first to free up space from the water tank in bathroom cupboard.

oh and when our house as on the market, quite a few viewers were put off with the fact it only had a shower.
2 bed semi.

I'd happily just have a shower but from sale point of view would need a bath to attract more interest!

Keep the bath. Some people don't like showers!
Myself, I'm a shower fan, but I would always keep the bath.
btw, when I bought my house one of the key points was a bath. We viewed a lovely little terraced house but the guy had ripped out the bath for a shower room. Put us off (although we knew we could have put a bath back in, so wasn't the main reason we didn't buy it).
If there's enough room you may be able to make the whole bathroom a wet room and have a shower. I went to a beautiful hotel in Turkey recently which had this, but it depends on space.

I'd find it quite refreshing to see a flat with a decent sized shower. My first place had a bath that was too short for me to lie in, my second place had an Omnitub which you had to sit upright in with your legs crossed and my current place has a bath that's too short to lie in again.
A decent walk in with a nice big shower head and an area to dry off is really nice. It's what I've got at my parents

we replaced the curtain with a screen.
there is a cubboard on the left which we could easily turn into a shower but we need the storage

can you get a shower tray the same footprint size as the bath and then a screen to close it all off?
then wouldn't be too hard to swap back to a bath if someone wanted

I have a little shower cubbicle in the en suite and the same set-up as you in our main bathroom. I personally always get showers, but the missus wouldn't contemplate buying somewhere with no bath (it could be used as a bargaining tool for a prospective buyer to 'put right'). Can't you just upgrade the actual shower?

ask yourself 2 questions
do you want kids? if yes, you will need bath, if yes but you will move first, will the bath make it more appealing to perspective buyers

I use a shower but when I have a cold/flu or generally feel like shit I like to have a soak in a nice hot bath TBH.
Also, our bath is a jacuzzi bath (courtesy of the previous owners of our house).
