I didnt stand a fecking chance really did I??
I was in my little 1.2 8V just cruising along, came off the light in town at a reasonable speed, just listening to music, the Zetec was sat in front of me. He was going right after the lights and I was going left, so I just tootledoff on my way. But then he changed lanes and followed me down this road, the road goes down hill so I thought i may as well boot it and see what i can do. He was right up my arse all the way down to the island about half a mile away, really pissed me off. I thought he would have thepower to get past but didnt seem to take the chance.
When we got down to the island I slowed down and went into the right hand lane to go round and off to Maccy's. he went in the left just to get past me and then cut me up, so I changed into the left lane so he changed into it aswell, so I went into the right lane he moved back over and then I just dropped a gear and went off to my left leaving him going back round.
I went back up into town later, saw him and thought I would be decent and stuck my thumb up, he put his finger up at me. Thought fair enough, but then he followed me for about 15 mins, couldnt be arsed racing him, as far as I was concerned he hadnt got past me and wanted to show me up, if I dont race i cant look stupid so i just went on my way until he got bored and fu!ked off.
Must say it was good fun though, thats the second Zetec S thats raced me this week, In know both of them could murder me, not had them come past me yet.............time will get the better of me and they will whip me soon.
Makes me really want to put a 2.0 16V in my car now.

Nearly every 1400 16v car will beat them. Not a very fast Ford - but we all know this.

When I had my Nova I had these and over cars try and race me all the time. They would get right up ya arse, and if it was something that was pissing me off then I would just slam on the brakes!!

Yeah I know they aint quick for what they are but like cdcool1 said, some of us have lowly 1.2 8v's which aren't really a match for it.
It was obvious it was quicker because as I was accelerating he was sticking right up behind me, didnt seem able to take me though for some reason, maybe he just didnt have the balls.
Maybe I should have tapped the brakes to warn him off but I wanted some fun
Just couldnt hack the fact that he had a problem with me just because he wanted to race and I did as he wanted. I am always decent to people I race.

i raced a zetec s in my sisters mini other day
its only an 850 and he rapped me :/
but it was it was still fun

Well, the Zetec-S is a good car, very underated. I had one before my corsa (i crashed fiesta - but not my fault), it was a 1.6 16v with 105bhp, very quick upto about 110mph, torque power is good in EVERY gear, just seems to be driven by twats around my way...

Can keep up with them to about 65-70 in my 1.4 16v sport but then cause of the extra cc they pull away.
My cars great on the twisty stuff.
Pulled away from a 220 coupe the other day. Surprising how much ground you get away from them with superior handling.
He causght up every straight though.

Yeah the O-6O isn't fabulous but it hits 1OO quicker than a VTR, would beat a Corsa GSi round a track as the handling is sublime and the styling's not bad either.

If i get people like that trying to race me i just keep braking and get slower and slower until it fucks them right off!!
If that don't work i let them get close then slam the brakes on hard! Its funny watchin them nearly shite themselves as they almost hit you!
I've only got the standard placcy bumpers anyway so if they hit me i would'nt be worried, they'd be at fault anyway for going into the back of me!!

did that on the way back from dony a knob in a mk3 fiesta rigt up my arse so i speeded up to 80mph he still right behind me so i thought fuck you hit brakes .
