I know there's already a thread about old skool hot hatches atm... but I was just thinking about this the other day. Basically, I'm obsessed with the R5 GT Turbo. I also see a lot of people with the same passion for the 205 GTi (also an awesome car)
I think from this generation, these are the two cars people really pine for. I know there's the Astra GTE, Golf Mk1 GTi etc. but I was wondering the general opinion of what people would rather be driving. If 'other' then feel free to state

I really like the R5 GT, but I don't think I'd own one. Would have to be a 205 gti for me.

I picked R5 because ive wanted one since I was about 14, but the 205 would be better to live with no doubt about it!!

r5 turbo will always be old skool for me because max power always had them in the late 90s with those split rear screens done by carisma

205 for me. Brilliant all round car, not just quick in a straight line.

Close call that, they would both be very occasional cars anyway.

The 205 is prob the better car , cult hot hatch status.
But a tungsten grey Gt turbo slammed on 19 16v rims does it for me every time.

Always liked 205 GTi's, but prefer a R5GTT
Brothers old 1
Spend more time fixing them though!

Me being that bit older than most on here these were the cars to have back in the day lol I would have to pick the R5. Its just a better looking car imo.

My old one, so wish I hadn't sold it, only had 45k miles on and was immaculate. Sold it far too cheap.
