From the Times:

Thierry Henry is ready to make a surprise return to Arsenal after Arsène Wenger refused to rule out the possibility of re-signing the Frenchman yesterday.
The 34-year-old striker, who is Arsenal’s record goalscorer with 174 goals in 254 appearances, has been training with the Barclays Premier League club for the past month and it is understood that he has shown more than fleeting glimpses of the prowess that moved the club to erect a statue of him last week.
Henry remains a New York Red Bulls player but with the Major League Soccer season not resuming until March and Arsenal short on striking options — Marouane Chamakh and Gervinho are involved in next month’s Africa Cup of Nations — the move could suit all parties.
Henry could come in as back-up to Robin van Persie, with Arsenal relying solely on the Holland player to lead the line throughout January. “At the moment, Thierry Henry just practises with us,” the Arsenal manager said yesterday.
“I cannot tell you even if there is a chance [of a deal] because I haven’t made an approach to him or his club.
“I do not always master all my thoughts so it has to come through my brain at some stage, but I haven’t been concrete on the case.”
Wenger re-signed Jens Lehmann in the middle of last season and Sol Campbell a year earlier. Only weeks ago, Arsenal played down interest in a deal. Should Wenger pursue the option of bringing back Henry, he would need to overcome issues over the player’s insurance as well as strike a deal with Red Bulls to delay Henry’s stay beyond his scheduled return on January 15.
Arsenal host Manchester United on January 22, one of the club’s four league games next month.
Their scouts were again expected to watch Lukas Podolski, the Germany forward, play for Cologne against Bayern Munich last night. In the last 16 of the Champions League, Arsenal face AC Milan, bringing back memories of them becoming the first English team to beat them at San Siro three years ago, with Chelsea taking on Napoli.

can't see it happening myself.
he is regarded as an absolute legend by arsenal fans and you only have to looks at michael schumacher to see what happens when you come back after a while out.
would be amazing to see him playing in the premier league again though.

I rate him in the top two or three Premier League players of all time too, and I'm an armchair Chelsea fan.

You have a point. Henry won the CL by sitting on the bench at Barca.
