Where do you stay when you go to the 'ring? looking to go some time next year with a big group of friends and need to find accomodation and prices, what time of year do you recomend to go etc and anywhere nice to visit while there? want to make it a proper holiday not just going to the ring, but would still like some time on track etc

Lindner Ferienpark, split between a few of you it's reasonable and the quality of the place is top notch. And a mile from the Ring entrance.

They look bloody nice! tad expensive though although like you say split between a few it works out roughly £150 each for a week so not too bad!

Exactly, me and my mates going in April staying in the Deluxe Villa (sounds nice but basically it's for 8 people instead of 6) works out at £170 each roughly, can't knock that really!

This is what the place looks like. Technically you are only allowed 1 car per drive, but I've stayed in these 3 times now and always had 2 cars on the drive plus cars outside and always see others doing it too. But if they do get funny about it then there's a secure car park to park the cars in. You can only get into the complex using a keycard to get through a gate so your car is secure.

I seem to remember you or somebody else mentioning that before, small world
Me and my girlfriend stayed in a nice hotel about 4 miles from the Ring at Easter this year, but it was 225 euros for 3 nights which whilst it was a nice place, it's expensive when you are not staying in a bigger place and splitting between more people! Was lovely though and breakfast too.
To be honest I think any Ring accomodation would be decent it's just trying to get a compromise between decent quality & price.
