Yea thats pretty much what i was going to try steve, burn rubber out, cut the sleave then kind of fold it in on itself.

£3.5k seems pretty pricey. How low mileage was it?

I was only £1900 for my 41,000 mile 2.8 4MO.

4mo's aren't as sought after these days due to running costs, can get some good bargains on them. Tdi's are holding their own very well.

3.5k is quite good for a pd130.

Ive seen average condition high milers go for more.

this was on 75k when i got it so VERY low for one of these, 3 door's go for a lot more as well.

Fro i want some 15 52 tarmac's but they are just a dream wheel tbh, the more likely wheel im considering is a set of bmw x5 tiger claw wheels

Good price for that mileage! See them going for that with over 100,000! Getting a remap for it or happy as it?

Since when have you been able to compare prices on 2 completely different cars? It's not even a Golf, it's a petrol Passat.

I really fancy one of these, but I prefer the 5 door for some reason?? Save a few more week and maybe get one. Want black aswell. Simple remap, bit of lowering and nice wheels will do me!

3 doors look nice too. Not sure, I'm same with the 1 series BM, dont like the 3 door hatch, think the 5 doors look better.

If you've no preference over 3 or 5 door you will pick up a 5 door loads cheaper.
