I currently work as manager of an equestrian centre, and looking to venture into new activities to bring customers in. We currently offer horse riding (various forms), archery, and clay pigeon shooting. Until recently we also had a fishing lake. From the beginning of April we're starting laser paintball (similar to quasar laser). Does anyone have any suggestions of other activities we can introduce without having to spend ridiculous amounts of money. Quad biking isn't an option for insurance plus ive already destroyed most our fields on the quad we have about 400 acres, large indoor arena, wooded area etc

Zorbing would be cool if you had some hills.

We have a lot of hills! I thought about this, but not sure on set up costs, or how much demand there would be? Surely its not something people would do on a regular basis?

Seems alot out there if you Google it. One company reckons: 'Zorbing South, the original zorbing experience for harness zorbing and hydro zorbing in the UK. For the last 12 years, 135,000 customers have enjoyed the thrill of zorbing with us'. It's meant to be good fun, so I reckon it could work if it was cheap to start.

Looking at about £3k for one zorb, that's without harnesses etc. Getting that out my boss will be impossible I've always wanted to try too!

I don't know but I doubt they'd take the risk for what will probably be a slow return! Its going to cost a couple of grand to start up the quasar laser, not to mention I want a new cross country course for summer
Doing a massive business relaunch, want to aim for corporate clients, team building etc

Don't know how much tarmac costs but you could make an off road track for people to bring their own quads and motor cross bikes, one payment that covers the day, insurance is up to them.
Used to go to place in Dartford called joyce green, was about £15 for the day or you could just pay for the bike and have people share it for less.

We don't really have the space for anything like this, not to mention it would ruin the 'quiet countryside image' we have going so well

the place i go that has fishing lakes also has an air rifle shooting range, although never seen anyone there, so might not be very popular.
another lake i go to, put in a log cabin cafe offering hot food. its taken over, unbelieveable amount of old people come there to eat and sit outside with a nice view, nothing there but lakes, a bit of grass and a wooden hut with picnic benches, they charge about £5 for a bacon sandwich and a drink.
Chap is raking it in. I've stopped fishing it because the food side has taken over. He even changed the signs to sign "clavering lodge", instead of "fishing lakes"
