Copied and pasted from another forum...

Sacked off my old "Family Wagen" (see what i did there ) cos it bored me a little. If it had been a Mk2 things may have been different. Anyway, goodbye Mk3!

A few of my mates picked up E36 Bimmers for track cars, and after having a day of blasting round Cadwell Park in one on a trackday i had to get one. Luckily i didn't have to go too far as my mate had this that his bird was going to have but i managed to persuade him to sell to me.

I haven't really done much other than throw on a set of re-furbed Style 32's (8 and 9j's) and drop it on a set of JOM coilies. Could really do with upgrading to better spec coilies as the JOM's are a little bouncy! So this is how it stands. Car is filthy and pics were taken on my Galaxy S2 so i desperately need to get it cleaned and some proper pics up!

For some reason that drivers wing looks a different colour to the rest of the car, but in reality its not.

I'm getting bored of the wheels now though. Kind of wish i'd had them done in a matt bronze than black. But i've seen these on Ebay... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120807271063?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

I know people bleat on about fake splits but theres no chance in hell i'd get real RS's for anywhere near this sort of price, plus i happen to think they look quite good. I wouldn't put BBS badges on them though, maybe write 'Fake' instead
I'm also trying to nick my mate's black Vadar interior from his M3 track car that he's just got.

A few better ish pics

Recently picked up an M3 front bumper in Cosmo black, but when it arrived it wasn't in great shape so i've dropped it off to be re-painted. Should have it back this weekend hopefully. Also bought an M3 Evo splitter for it.

Ive taken the front fog's out for tinting which i'll post up pics of later

Managed to get the fog lights tinted last night at work while it was quiet

Today i had the glass swapped for the tinted glass in my mates M3 track car. He didn't want tinted glass, and having tinted glass in mine was easier for me as i now don't have to faff around putting up window blinds for when my son is in the car.

Here's a couple of progress pics, will update with finished pics once ive washed it.

So i was out and about in the car today with my lad (read as trying to get him to go to sleep!) and thought i'd better give it a wash and get some pics.

Dedicated detailers will cringe at this pic...Local jet wash! 8-)

Went down a little lane i use when i'm out on my mountain bike cos i though i'd be a good place to get pics. Turns out its not! Only got a couple and gave up.

Never been a fan of E36's but found myself looking at these alot lately, think i might end up getting 1 next. Love the look of yours aswell, lowered with wheels is all it really needs.

The 328 is a twin pipe system whereas mines a single I'd have to change the whole lot of it!

That looks awesome. Mtec kits look perfect on them, but i would be tempted to leave that boggo spec as it suits the style of it.

Ive got a lovely set of BBS RC040's for sale too. Think they are known as style5's in the BMW world.

I kind of know where you're coming from, but they're serving a purpose at the moment. Plus they aren't as dark as pics make out. Can see right through the car.

Thanks Yeah they're also known as Style 5's. What size are they? 7.5 or 8.5? I was going to leave the poverty spec bumper on cos everyone puts on an M3 or Mtech bumper/kit on. But i actually like the M3 bumper (with Evo splitter) so gonna fit it on when its ready and see how it looks. Leaving standard skirts on though and rear bumper. Not keen on the M3 rear bumper.

Cheers. I was never a fan but they've grown on me a lot over the last couple of years. Can be picked up for little money now.

Got some better pics today....

I think its too black atm, will look much better and fresher on a set of silver wheels I think.

Maybe a noob question but Are the 323's a straight 6 engine?
I know alot of (maybe most?) bmw's are straight 6's

The 320 and up were all straight 6 engines.

That looks so simple yet effective. Wee bit rear rake on the E36 makes a world of difference, it suits them. You gonna leave the amber lights on it?? I would and i would do the kidney grilles black.

You gonna be fitting an M50 inlet etc or just leaving the engine as is??

The RC040's were all 7.5j wide, think it was the RC090's from the E39 that were 8.5j and 9.5j staggered. They go for good money with them having a bit dish. Some1 from County Durham came up today for the RC040's i had.

Will already have the 2.8 manifold, it was the 2.5 (M50) that had the bigger manifold.

Gonna leave the ambers in. Think they look better than clear ones. I was going to paint the kidney grilles black, but i might leave them as they'd go with the Schmidt TH-Lines that i eventually want to get for it.

Not bothering with with an M50. I don't really need it as i'm happy as it is. If it was a track car then i would, but got my bikes for trackdays.

Got the bumper painted! Hoorah! I've also got a new camera to play with (Nikon Coolpix L120 bridge) so pics are a little off at the mo

Rushed down to the bodyshop and set about taking off the standard front bumper

Then put the freshly painted M3 bumper on

I know, i know! It needs a grill, but it didn't come with one and i'm not paying the ridiculous prices that are on Ebay atm! I'll sort something soon!

Anyway, better pics...

And some others while messing with the camera
