Just need to go to any merchant services place to discuss. Some places do 1% but then there's a monthly fee instead.

Barcleys wanted me to charge me for everything, inc paying in money!?!

Unsure which is the best option, 1% is fine

unsure weather i should try other banks, or weather theres other options. so i can use my existing bank account

Costco....yeah i know someones whos got a card

looks better option

So average £3000 with 15 Transations

at 3%... = 90

Costco £15 + £1.80 = alot cheaper

would this go to my standard natiowide bank account?

Dont have an iphone Paul!

Banking wise try Santander. I'm with them, though actually signed up with Alliance and Leicester, mostly free banking other than paying 10p per £100 cash over your £3000 monthly limit.

I use Paypal for taking debit card payments, it's ok but I charge users 3.5% to cover the cost, so only use it for small amounts. Could also do with sorting a better option, saw one a while back but can't remember the name, will have a look.

Oh and check your T&C's with Nationwide, accounts can't be used for business.

Yup. With HSBC as they offer a 1 year free Business account for < £100k; haven't had any issues so far and always get things sorted ASAP.

And likewise, like fuck would I use an iPhone for card processing; it looks far too dodgy from the customers perspective

NatWest are offering two years free business banking at the moment - seems like its worth shopping around as there are a few offers out there.

HSBC Merchant Services are pretty good.

Also had Cardsave come round to us a few times trying to get us to sign up but its too much hassle moving from where we are.

They don't use chip and pin in the USA, which is probably why Square exists there and not over here.
