Thought it was time I started a project thread for my M5, had it a few years now and done a fair few bits to it, here is a brief run down of most of it:

This is how i bought the car a few years ago, looked pretty reasonable, had non standard wheels on it, but i planned on sourcing std wheels and paintwork wasn't too good but mileage was good and history backed it up.

next i sourced some std wheels but in silver not shadow chrome and had rich of refined detail fame come and give it a proper clean up for me:

next up time to make it a bit louder, i fitted de-cats, x-pipe and magnum rear silencers from supersprint:

then i found a mint set of wheels just refurbished in shadow chrome, so purchased them, and cleaned the car

with plans to make it faster i got fed up of the standard brakes not lasting to long, already fitted a new set of genuine discs and pads to the front, so went the whole hog and got these:

Stoptech 6pots for the front and 4pots for the rear, with their bell and rotor kit, fronts went on straight away, no probs:

when fitting the rears i found the NSR hub carrier was bent, always had problems getting the wheel alignment spot on, despite replacing all the arms and bushes, so sourced a new hub carrier from a breakers yard (£70, BMW wanted £600+vat), then fitted the rear brakes:

had to use 10mm spacers on the rear to get them to fit the std wheels

next up was to fit the BC racing RM series coil overs:

its a bit low at the moment but will sort that out when i get some new wheels:

next to fit is these new manifold collected today:

once their are on, a little map should see the power up from 420bhp where it is now to 435bhp.

iv done a few other upgrades to it over the years:
X5 Bushes
DVD based sat nav
Digital TV tuner from a later M3
BMW Bluetooth
Ipod interface
Tested plenty of maps out

thats about it for now, new wheels are ordered, they shall be around 2 weeks away now, and it will allow me to remove rear spacers and then ill sort ride height and wheel alignment out.
