You just gonna get a new turbo or just a 2nd hand good 1? Shouldn't be too hard nor expensive to pick 1 up, just the hassle of changing it i suppose.

Get at least a refurb, we got one for my brothers tdi and you just never know what the state of the turbo you get off a used car is.

We drove it about 5 miles with the goosed turbo and the smoke was unbelievable, we had a car following us and they couldn't see the whole way up the road, used about 10 litres of oil.

Ive got a couple of weeks before i NEED the car all sorted, soooooo glad i didnt sell my corsa now and seen as its still tax'd and mot'd may as well just swop insurance over.

Yea im praying it hasnt Steve, same engine as in the Fabia VRS. If it has it can sit in the garage and ill run the corsa for a bit.

Should have bought mine! only joking, bit unlucky but as said shouldn't be too expensive to sort.

No signs of it going, turbo noises? We had a 307 at work and sounded like a police siren but fella just kept driving it until eventually went pop!

Recon turbo and new oil feed was about £300 iirc.

No sign of it going, first sign was when it when pop and covered the bike behind me in a huge cloud.


Short story is, he bought some seats, they got delivered claimed they never got there. Were signed for by someone his end, all this was about 5 years ago.

Anyone who has met me off here should be able vouch for what im like but oh well.

fuck me... jenko providing its not as bad as wrightys id get it rebuilt... cost me about £350 for a k04 so id imagine yours to be less. it was like new with a 2 year warrenty to boot
