Fitted my Avo frot coilovers yesterday.
Had them laser aligned etc, and are just so bouncy. I've adjusted the mount in top (to what should be hardest setting) and barely any difference

I fitted the 250lb springs. Have 300 here, don't want to pay for laser alignment again. As was £70 with camber ajustment

250lb seems a little low..
I run 375f/450r on the vx which is lighter than the b and i think its about right.
Of cause i dont know whats reccomended for a B

why did you fit weaker springs?
you have a c20xe ?
the coil over would have been designed for x16xe weight, need the beefyer springs with extra weight

20quid for 4 wheel laser alignment up here
Are they brand new or second hand Generation, sounds like a fucked shocker
And you don't need beefier springs, can you tell me the difference in weight between a x/c16xe and a c20xe tom?

Aye, I thought it was nearer 25 actually. I'm not claiming that that extra weight wouldn't affect things but stiffer springs aren't needed as much as they are an improvement. Basically he shouldn't have any problems with standard poundage springs in at all

i always had the impression the redtops were heavy
did you have the rears aswell? stiffen them
if the front are solid and the rears arnt this could cause the bouncing ?

If it was just an impression maybe you shouldn't act like you know what you're on about. Telling someone that they need to change the springs on their car to heavier ones without actually knowing why is a bit stupid would you not agree?
To anyone that wants to listen... If you don't know, don't talk. The amount that people could actually be fucked up if they listened to this general chat help advice is scary

The rears are just shocks and springs

I had 280lb front springs on with coilovers on my Turbo with F28 and they were perfect. Anything heavier is overkill. What engine do you have? Oh and regarding 'bedding in' its total bollocks.

I have a c20xe
Tbh they don't sit right. In confused by the whole thing.
Handles fine, top mounts are higher inside the bay than they should be too

did you wind them all the way down to put the top mounts on or did you have them at the top when you put the top mounts on?

Maybe put it in Help zone then?
Back on topic, with my Avos adjusting from soft to hard was hugely noticeable, however you are limited by the spring, I would go for the 300lb springs.
£70 is a bit steep I used to work on a £12 per point of adjustment so £24 for tracking and £48 for tracking and camber on front

Somethings wrong there. That cup should sit nice and snug in the chassis leg.

Hmm I'm trying but its been a while since I've seen it and hard to tell without looking in person. You obviously swapped all your top mount construction over to the coilover? Is the other side the same? You didnt put an extra bump stop on by anychance?!

Yes, this is what I do when I've got a problem i want advice on.
Changing the rear susension is going to have no effect on the front's stiffness, if it did then all you'd be doing is masking the problem.
By the look of the pics you've either fitted the top mount wrongly or fitted the wrong top mount.
