Just seen a renault 5 gt turbo for sale quite cheap locally..
Always used to want one of these lol
Only bad thing is its got a jap kit on it..
Ive emailed the guy for details etc.

Only other problem is it is on Gibraltar plates so would have to pay to put on Spanish plates. Probably the reason why it is cheap as Spanish cars are mental money usually.

umm cant believe I am tempted lol

Only real bad things I've heard about these is the gearboxes don't last long. Not sure how true it is!

Is there any issue with putting it on Spanish plates? Might there be a reason why that guy hasn't?

Umm I cant think of any tbh. Its not cheap to change them over usually 500+ but atleast its LHD and has lhd lights etc already, so not like changing a Uk car over.
I think the lad live may live in Gib too so he probably wouldn't have bothered.

Cant really complain at that price, my brother sold his for around €1500 a few years ago in Ireland, after buying it from over here and ferrying it over.

Here's his old 1

Mine above, totally standard, 1 owner since new before I had it. Cool little cars, although everything about them is unsurprisingly dated. Standard seats are ultra comfy, although the interior shows it's age massively. Also, few people under the age of 25 will appreciate them. Got rid in the end because it just felt too old, you're always slightly nervous when booting it, etc. Only thing to actually fail was the water pump, but when you own one of these one eye is always on the temp gauge anyway, so I managed to stop before any damage was done.
