Anyone been? Any good? Off in 6 week for 5 days, cost a whopping £82 quid for flights and hotel so was rude not to.

Probably time of year mainly, average temp last year was 21 apparently. Also that's in a 4 star hotel.

I had a look at going and reviews I got from people was it is either dead, as in no one around and nothing to do or just full of drunks.

Swimming there? To be fair i'd rather it be dead than full of drunks, just going to chill out, probably take a few books and enjoy the time off.

Just me and the missus Andy.

If your into trips go to the zoo marine we had a really good day there, and we went on a 4 hour quad trek and we both loved it you see parts that you would normally see you go right up in the mountains, there is a 2 hour one you could do aswell, it's not that cheap but if you want I can tell you the company to book it

In albuferia they call it the strip and it's full of food bars and places where to drink so you will be ok

Been 2 times mate and back again this summer. LOVE IT!

Probs too cold for the water parks but would recommend Zoo Marine.

Other than that, you can spend all day just mooching around the Old Town, cracking food and bars all over the place. Would recommend EL Rancho in the old Town in particular - get the steak on a stone!!

Vilamoura is nice too for an afternoon or evening!

Enjoy!

It's a nice place, typical bar strip in the new bit. Plenty of Brits on the piss, old town is really nice. Loads of places to eat etc.

Vilamoura is just down the road, about 15-20 euros in a taxi. Defiantly worth a trip there for a day/night round the harbour.

Perfect place for a couple really.

I went vilamoura with 19 other folk. Not a deal of bars but still seem to stay out untill stupid oclock in the morning. The larger is shite though. So flat its unreal (in every bar i went too). Had some nice meals though.

Yeah we go every year just the lads and although there isn't loads of places we usually end up rolling home at 7 or so in the morning. True about the lager, had the worst pint of my life in Sinatra bar.

That's the Kareoke bar round the far end of the harbour, before you get to hole in one bar.

Portugal is the sole reason I can't drink gin anymore. Too many awful hangovers!

Go to wild and co steak house aswell carl, end of the strip. Cocktail bar downstairs and the restaurant upstairs is really good!

Not sure if it will be open Carl but I recall you like your music so if looking for a night out then try Kadoc. Usually attract some decent DJ's! Hopefully the Mrs pulls her finger out today so we can get booked up for 2 weeks end of June!
