Its been ages since I've even thought about buying a new car stereo. Ive had one with an aux-in for years which ive plugged my phone into, thinking its a bit dangerous controlling my music from my phone when I'm driving though and would like to upgrade to one with direct control. Any recommendations?

Does that mean your phone has to be wired into the front? Or does it have a rear input?

Cant help on the phone/stereo control but I recently replaced mine with a JVC DAB unit, digital radio is loads better!

ive got a mutant sub, amp and head unit. i think its quite good for a no name brand

James mine has a direct ipod control from the rear as well as an aux at the front and usb jack.

I've got a Kenwood head unit. It has a usb input at the back, plus bluetooth and loads of other things.

Do any of the above mentioned control an iPhone directly? Mine only works with actual iPod and not phone.

alpine do. you dont have to touch the ipod/iphone you just hide it out of the way and control through your headunit
