Thats fair enough, I have had enough of Saxo's and Mk4 Astras fitted with cheap HID kits dazzling fuck out of me.

Wrong/poor fitted kits are the main reason for aftermarket HID kits that blind people.

That and the headlamp unit isn't designed for them, some are a lot better than others though.

So correct beam pattern is a pass basically? Rally you're probably limited to cars with projector bulbs

Projector headlamps don't give the correct beam pattern either, they just don't look as obvious.

You can buy kits for headlights that aren't designed for HID's.

They normally have "R" at the end of the bulb fitment. Like H7R etc. The bulbs themselves have some sort of casing on them to help stop the scattered beam.

The wee sticker thing on the r variants makes no difference in my experience of them.

On the E36?? They don't have projector headlamps. Or can you buy some sort of projector kit??

If the headlamp is designed for halogen bulbs, it should have halogen bulbs fitted. Anything with HID bulbs in a halogen-designed headlamp should fail.

It should fail due to not having headlamp washers or a levelling device.

i cant understand why people fit them... look gash imo

just get a set of normal bulds but 100w... their not dazzling brite but light enough and dont blind people who are coming towards you at 60mph plus...

that leaflet says they can be fitted but if they are they must work. doesnt say theyre needed.

you say youve got it through in work,i hope you dont do MOT's because we're fucked if the people doing them dont even understand the rules

Only in USA did they not have projectors. Hundreds of conversions all over the UK, pics of beam patterns etc.

whats gash about them? a decent 4000k or 6000k are fab, i would never ever go back to shitty normal lighting, and i dont care if a blind people on the road, i am always blinded far more by people in big 4x4's etc.

My Corsas lights are perfectly good IMO. A set of uprated bulbs are all that is needed.

Hate HID's with a passion.
