Went to the pub las nite and a couple of dopey lads started squarin each other up so the bouncers split them up but instead of doin their job decided to wind 1 of the blokes up even more by gettin in his face so he started gettin mouthy the bouncer basically kicked him out of the pub and started layin into him outside saying to ppl "i wudn't go out for a few mins theres trouble" so obviously had to go out and hav a look and there were 3-5 security guards layin into this bloke who hadn't really done anything wrong  talk about abuse of authrity. i thought the bouncers were supposed to calm things down not make it worse.
Any1 seen anyfin similar??

yeah from the stories I hear they can be rather stupid and go over the top. I'm suprised more arent more careful lately cause of gun crime, can you imagine if you picked on some bloke, chucked him out, then 30 mins later him and his mates come round shooting the place up :O

my mates a bouncer and there was trouble in the local bar so they had 2 carry this bloke out.my mate had his head end and the bloke bit a chunk out of my mates leg! so he knocked 2 of his teeth out,broke his jaw and shattered his eye socket.and he go away with it!what the fuck?!they get away with more than police!

Places i go that splash out quite a bit on doormen get really good friendly doormen that help you out. The places that i go that pay crap rates get doormen that dont give a monkeys who started the fight.

I don't think they are all stupid, some are clearly decent blokes.
Don't agree with the bit about any profession though. When I go into my local sports shop I don't see the sales staff threatening innocent people and taking them outside for a kicking, EVER!

So you define 'power trip' by giving someone a 'kicking'? Different power trips come with different jobs, it isn't a local sports shop assistants job to apply manual force where necessary. Their kinda power trip would be to order the new guy to sweep the floor, make the tea etc.
It's our job to get in the thick of violence, you cannot compare the two.

"customer safety officials" all in all do a very good job and help the police alot in their enquiries but like with most jobs that have some sort of power in them you get 1 person who gives the rest a bad name.
just dont go to those places again.

Most Bouncers r pricks !!!!!! (think just coz they decide whether u come in they have power).
They always eye`in ur ur bird and saying stuff. Then want a reaction so that they have an excuse not to let u in!

they do get away with battering people all the time. The police turn a blind eye to it most of the time, cos bouncers help the police do their job i.e. - cut drunken violence. U need bouncers to control trouble, but often they take it to far and just fcuk people up. Theres force and theres excessive force. U'd be stupid to start on a bouncer.

Hmm im not sayin that every1 of them are twats..cos thats wrong..just a few decide to do what they want and manily humilate people because of thier own judgements..pretty wrong in my opinion- but if u do get shit off a bouncer, dont go ther again..they lose ur money then..and losing money may mean going bust
