as above, whats better overall?
whats the difference in power and torque gains? and what gains will i expect on a corsa Gsi with full grp A zorst and piperx Viper induction kit?
whats the price difference?

SBD throttle boddies are mint but can be impractical and youll end up spendin bout £2,500

why do say Dbilas is shite? i thought it was better than the powerbox! it looks well nice under the bonnet to.
im worried about the price and insurance of throttle bodies?

Mantzel 22bhp on own
throttle bodies 164bhp total but not easy to fit (complete new injection wiring and ecu)
Dbilas 30bhp, 0bhp, 20bhp, -10bhp, what ever it fookin feels like, crap fitting, they supply you with instructions..... in fookin German, my mates runs like a bag of nails wiv it on!!!

i think im gonna stick to the mantzel powerbox then guys.
i wanna know wat KIND of power gains it will give coz 500quid is a lot to spend on it man!?
will 0-60 be quicker? more torque?will my car sound different/louder as the air flow will be smoother and direct?
Thanks guys

will the powerbox need any special maintenace or care, is it durable?
will it PASS MOT????
i dont want it breraking down/fcuking up in couple of months, so is it reliable?
im guessing that fuel consumtion will go up right?? but how much? i currently get about 90miles from 20quid petrol (estimates)

Under £1500 fitted at velos and a de-cat pipe gets you this:-
CLICK HERE IF PICS STILL AINT WORKING!
With a cat it should pass an mot, done 2000miles with no problems after first few days! Fuel consumption has increased from £20 to bout £21 for 180miles (half by-pass, half blasting round) and using optimax now.
Throttle boddies would give a nicer sound + more power but would cost more, depends on how much you wanna spend!
Getting rid of the standard inlet manifold is the 2nd cheapest bhp per pound mod you can do (cheapest being de-cat +5bhp)

Viper may give an extra bhp or 2 when me car is stopped and warm, shouldn't draw any warm air as it is now!
Theres the torque tube (top of manifold - under £300), then my plenum (all of manifold - £1100) then throttle boddies (£2000).
The more you pay, the more power you get.
Ive spent £1500 and am happy, for now that is!
Was gonna get a 1.8 sri last year!
Glad ive got me 1.6 now!
Exhaust is all standard appart from de-cat, got a janspeed but think PVD are cheaper!
Oh, £1500 for my mods = 147bhp proven (118 at wheels)
£3000 for courtney turbo = 150bhp

cant get velos stuff anymore, they went bust ages ago.
and as for the dbilas vs the mantzel.....no difference. if someones had problems with either of them its usually down to poor fitting, or something else, not the box itself.

The thing with the mods your looking at is do you realise your power band will shift. The car will become sluggish at low rpm, the extra 22bhp from a mantzel come in HIGH up the rev range, as soon as you hit 5000rpm it will pull like fook, if ya dont up ya limit to 7500rpm you will miss out on allot of power. So if ya happy to rag the tits off it to get it going then get one i had a mantzel and a few other mods for 132bhp on my GSI. Fun bit is with 7500 limit you can hit 62mph in second so ya 0-60 will improve vastly be in low 8's high 7's

yeah mate i knew the power band would shift up higher, and with faster 0-60, but i didnt know that it would lack that bad at lower revs!!
thing is, what do you mean... will the lower revs be worse than it is now as "Standard" or are you just comparing the lacking low revs compared to the higher revs once the inlet is "Installed"??
and also wouldn't a exhaust manifold and exhaust system help with mid-rev torque/power??
