I am struggling to see the point.
You still need the iPhone/Android with you, so instead of carrying one device you are now carrying two?
Like the cycling one, just attaché the iPhone to the bike

Can't access at work but is this the 'Pebble'?
A lot of the stuff only works with Android at the moment, like getting/reading texts due to iOS security.
I'm someone will develop stuff for JB iPhones though.
Not really much hassle charging your watch every 7 days since you'd perhaps take it off to sleep anyway.

No different to wearing a watch and carrying a phone, which most people do anyway. Plus you only need your phone for phone-based applications, like text/music/*status updating; otherwise it works like a normal watch.
And i'm not sure charging is a major issue. As said, you would take it off at night anyway so you would charge it then. Plus being USB you can charge it near enough anywhere.
Only issue is delivery as it'll end up like the Raspberry Pi in that it'll be months and months before production is ramped up enough to fulfill all the orders; which is apparently around 55-60 thousand mark (some backers purchased multiple).

Had an early pre order on with them.
It's not an iPhone watch as its compatible with other brands.
Part of the reason I bought it is because you can load apps / different watch faces onto it and they've opened up the sdk, I think it's going to be quite popular.

Wouldn't mind the black one but it's 3 times the price...give me a day whilst I justify it to myself
EDIT: Back after watching a couple of reviews...half a day battery life and laggy (android ), I'll pass.

There will be a lot of people jumping on this bandwagon after the success with the Pebble.

Prefer the strap/fascia on the Meta Watch but with a graphical LCD display i'd be surprised if it'll last a day let alone a week like the Pebble (e-ink display).
Edit - From having a quick look on the forum, it appears that there are a fair old amount of issues with it and a full charge doesn't even last a day

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Hopefully getting mine really soon, but will just stick it straight on ebay to help fund my GoPro Hero3 Black.
The concept is good, but I don't really do watches.
The only watch I really wanted was the mutewatch: http://mutewatch.com/collection
