What are some common faults on an X12XE engine? My daily has an awful hesitation when warm under load. I thought it would be the MAF but I have just put a new one on today. I'm going to try my spare cool pack but other then that what else is common to fail? This does not have EGR by the way.
Cheers

MAF tends to break easilly, especially if you use a cone air filter or induction kit of some sort on a standard map

No EGR as its an auto. TBH I really thought it was the MAF again but it aint. Bare in mind it only starts to play up after I have done 10miles of my 15mile trip to and from work.
Iv popped my old coilpack in so ill see what that does but if it aint that ill be a tad lost.

Crank sensor, known for going open circuit when they get hot. Usually they make it cut out completely then it won't restart until it cools down but yours could possibly be showing early signs with it just hesitating but the 10 miles into the journey seems a common distance for them to start playing up.

Ill give that a try Mike thanks. Cheap fix too from Autovaux so not too bad.
Quite common on V6 Derv Mercs with a similar diagnosis now I think about it so could well be.

So fucking temperamental these engines, my brothers was hesitant, stalling and all sorts, replaced the maf which didn't help matters, garage replaced oil pressure switch, crank sensors etc no such luck. Them randomly it stopped doing it and has been fine ever since, fucking strange!

afm, top rad hose bursting, the gasket behind the timing chain can go giveing the impression that the headgasket has gone as the water mixes with the oil, rattling timing chain but not as big an issue as it used to be

Ok it has now had a new maf, crank sensor, fuel filter and tried my spare coilpack and its still no different. This is now properly pissing me off and becoming a bit of a money pit.
I thought the daily cars are supposed to be reliable and the big power stuff is supposed to break all the time.

Right, anybody got any ideas?
Had it on a Solus and it was saying the MAF is supposed to give a reading of 15kg/h of air at idle, mine was doing 7kg/h.
Iv tried looking for air leaks, blocked air filter, fitted a new genuine Bosch MAF and quite frankly Ive given up!
HELP PLEASE !!

Take it to Vauxhall and get them to check it out with their diagnostic kit.
No point throwing money at it without actually knowing what the cause of the problem is in my opinion.

Have you tried turning it off and on? Joking
Does the engine management light come on for a few seconds and turn back off again?
