I was near a local garage today and a bright red one of these caught my eye, and so did the price £1700

Now I've worked at a big Skoda dealer before and I'm a big fan of the VRS range. I've driven loads of these and always liked them, the MPG can be decent (better than a scooby!) and because I'm still mates with 4 Skoda master techs so if I ever anything doing it's simply done. I love the white and black interior.

Might chop in my van for it, pay the extra doller and run it for a while suprised how cheap some cars are now!

Love mine, sensible MPG when driven steadily and fun when pushing it. Getting mine remapped soon, read many times it transforms the car!

That's nice Phil I'd paint the wheels black though if I got one.

I think Fly sold his a while ago too Phil

BTW Phil the first one I drove was a silver Y plate all the way back from London and it was REALLY quick! Bering in mind I had a 320 brake scooby at the time.

I day or so later it went on the pitch for sale and the techs said it had a really good remap (a few of them owned VRS's) needless to say the next one I drove was standard and was miles away in performance terms, although still quick it was a lot smoother in its delivery.

Have you had any problems with yours Phil?

Looks alright still. Prefer them to the newest ones weirdly. Seen them sell for about a grand recently.

Cheers,

Always have wondered... Did you put the FMIC on it because the old one was fudged or just because you wanted to upgrade?

Can't see in the history any signs of last cam belt change either, any ideas?

I put it on because i planned on going down the ko3s hybrid route, but i'd always fancied an s2000 so ended up p/x'ing for one. Bad planning really because the Forge was brand new about 4 weeks before. There was nothing up with the stamdard one.

No idea about the cambelt, i didnt have it done but it was on the list of things to do.
