My brother in laws dad has one, as he ran part of the relay.

We were looking on Ebay and some of the torches are going for over £150,000

People will pay £150 for a 80cm picture of a Olympic Torch so I can believe they would be spending 100k+

Why have they got red lines through? Is that so you can't steal the photo?

Also most are library photos of torches for sale, I'd want an actual picture if I was in for grands.

Could be worse, you could buy a 50p for 89p

Just me who thinks the people selling these are cunts.

They were picked from millions as they were deemed worthy of carrying the torch, something they should be proud of doing and they're all fucking cashing in

Yeah my mother in law was telling us earlier that they have to pay for the torch!

It's actually going past her house on Thursday I believe so we're going there to watch!

£200 contribution, they cost over £500 each to make. Theyve been selected for good achievements then muddy it by selling the thing.
I'd rather have the torch than a couple of grand

But why sell it now?? Surely it will be worth more in the future :/

If i ran it. Id keep it. Its not very often these days that you can pass something on to the kids thats unique and worth something.

Ps. Doyle is full of shit. I expect a "my gran hasbeen ruling a country for 60 years, should she sell it?" thread.
