I've got, well basically 2 f28 gearbox's. both have a knackered synchro. you can't get parts for them, or if you can its a complete struggle, and the box's themselves are becoming rare to get a good decent one. so I'm thinking spares or repair for it. seen them working order going for 250-300 on ebay (awaits someones uncle that bought one for 50p). is it worth whacking it up at say 50? see what happens?

Yeah just stick them up spares or repair. I bet some1 out there has spares for them, or knows what other parts can be used.

Bought rose jointed tie bar and bottom arm set up, another gearbox and needing a new map sensor. Fair bit of cash.

Astra ts200 f28 box is a 4x4 that was fitted with diff seal in order to run 2wd from the factory

Keep them as they are rare. You can get the sycro's easy. They are the same part number as a Mitsubishi fto getrag gearbox and a dam sight cheaper than what regal used to charge. There is a thread about it somewhere on vauxsport ;-)
