Would you say you look upon your car as a hobby rather than just a car you own.

Trying to justify the corrado and buying some more bits and decided its ok as its my hobby now.

I saw a lady out with a posh camera taking part in her photography hobby and it got me thinking she's had to pay out for her camera hobby as well as her car. So thought i may as well buy the new bits and think of it as like buying a camera.

I think there's people who just buy a car, like buying a washing machine or phone (as you need one), those who are "into" cars, buy one and mainly do simple things like swap badges, wheels, lights, bits of trim etc, then those who have a car as a hobby.

The more i come round to thinking of the corrado as a hobby and not just my car the more sane i feel

Might sell my air pistol and lego now as they aren't a real hobby to me anymore

try telling this to someone who only uses a car to drive to and from work. they will think you're mad.

but then they'll think it's fine for someone to spend thousands on a camera.

Your sandwich shop must have very wide doors.

Would you say your 8 your old child (for example) is your hobby because you buy things for it, upgrade their clothes, phone, bed sheets etc to suit what everyone else gives their 8 year old child.

In your case your car is more like an 8 year old child to you and not a camera. You wouldnt sell your child just like how you wouldnt sell your corrado, unless you really really have to.

A hobby. Always get people asking me why i spend money on my car etc 'Its not worth anymore' etc its just something i enjoy and like to drive something that feels yours.

Also especially for me there is alot of hate with people who dont understand just cant accept that its what i like to do

I always get a new car and think right, this time just leave it standard and keep is clean but it never happens, always end up looking to "modify" it, be it wheels, suspension, cosmetic etc.

Guess it's a hobby, enjoyable to work on it a bit and make it nice.

My Corsa's useless as a car seeing as it can't be driven on the road so definitely a hobby, my next car will be bought with practicality in mind but it's still a hobby as I'll no doubt drive it for fun at times.
