You sick of the RS6 already???
I'd go for the Astra vxr over the Corsa personally.

love it when someone bites.
what i said is very true.
i raced one when i had my focus and it was fine up to 60mph, then above that it started going backwards.
i expected better from it tbh. small car with almost 200bhp. unsure how much it weighs though.

I like them. I'd have one if I wanted a small car.

Why would I bite when I dont own one or even like them.
Just generalising about stuff i know nothing about like yourself.

Not really when you put a tin can with some power up against something a fair size bigger with lots of toys? I wouldn't have one. Not great on fuel and really not that impressive.

I'm considering chopping in my Vectra for a Corsa Nurburgring...
Hardly a helpful comment, but meh, neither are many other replies so far
I think the standard models are around 190bhp, with the 'Ring model around 200, maybe the Arctic version is too, not sure.
Seems No.4 Piston Meltdown is still an issue, but i'm not sure if its as common as it was now. I think he major tuners are making good progress in helping overcome that issue anyway.

I think it's pretty piss poor in this tuning world that they make an engine with parts so close to the limit that you can barely touch it without doing major work

Look here this is my honest opinion
Corsa VXR
Clio 197/200
Get neither
Mini Cooper S R53 JCW post 55 plate with the better gear ratios & Teflon charger
Best engine, easiest chassis to live with, best build quality,
best tuning capability.

Corsa downfall is until recently they seemingly fall to pieces (never had an issue with mine) and aren't as fast as I thought as Clio trounces standard ones
Clio, feels like it was put together with cable ties and needs to be out on track or driven at 100% all the time to enjoy it properly.
Clio is the best looking but facelift Corsas have closed the gap recently.
