me and my m8 are thinking about getting a fast(ish) base car then trying to totally modify it for a 1/4 mile car. This might just be a summer project.
got a budget of £1000 for the car... who's got any ideas of the car, and what to do...
and would any1 give us some money?

have to agree with vibrio, uno turbo all the way as they are rapid cars if you need some advice and where to pick up a cheap one, log onto turbo collective and ask thr lads there if they can help sort you out they are great blokes and will be able to point you in the direction of a good one

actually ford capri is looking good.
its not gonna be insured for us in the road, so i think we'll got for the 2.8 V6 unless something better comes up.

i'm still open to suggestions.

1k is to buy the car, we could probably strech to another 1k for modding it. both of us r just 16, so not a lot of money.

N/A or turbo... i love both.

R5 GTTurbo, no weight in them at all after you've stripped everything out, well easy to work on if you haven't got that much experience, may be fragile, but lots of fun when they're running

good quality or even half decent mk1 golf is gonna be too expensive tho aint it.
My missus next door neighbours got one rotting on his drive, the interiors got moss growing on it and its a state.exterior is okay, small dent on bonnet and little parking dents etc...but no rust or major damage and he wants £2500 for that

its not gonna be insured. won't be road legal, so it'll have to be on the back of a trailer.
