This conversation came up earlier and I don't think I've ever seen it happen before,
Seen a few mk3 AstraS with the Saab engines but no corsa.
If they can be fitted is it the same mounts etc as an xe engine?
And what engine is it in the saabs? B205? Jus on eBay and they seem way too cheap

Seen one in a corsa c on a project thread on here? Also would need to chop most the leg away on a corsa to to make it fit.

You want an earlier stronger engine, 2.0 B204 or the 2.3 B234. The later ones the B2#5's had cast pistons. The B205 is only good for 310hp. Loads of info on uksaabs forum about them.

Standard ecu is a Bosch trionic and easy to tune. Can download t5 suite and build your own map. if you know about that sort of thing.

At pv I counted atleast 5 saab engined corsa's, with the right combo of sump etc you can fit it under a standard bonnet line, or some people just fit a hump in the bonnet, ben in the esc runs a 2.3 saab lump in his corsa,
Bottom end is good for 500bhp as standard,
I've got a b234 lump sitting in my garage,

Ive got a Z22SE in my Corsa c, using standard Vauxhall mounts from Astra and Corsa with f23. this engine is the same base as the Saab B207R and easily tuneable for big power. No cutting of the chassis at all allthough its a squeeze it doesnt look out of place.

Its fairly good, doesnt like traffic though. Nigthmare getting into PVS this year! Wants to be reving and under load. steady driving can get 28mpg normally round 25mpg. It was featured last year in total vauxhall if you want full spec. Was thinking of putting bodies on the 2.2 but after seeing what power the saab boys are getting going to turbo it now! The 2.2 is great fun to drive as it is and very easy to fit apart from the wiring, would be easier with astra or vec c ecu as vec b doesnt use canbus.
