Hi all.
Having problems with an ePOS software that I have been using. After correcting the computer time (cus it was 10mins too fast), I restarted the system.
Now the ePOS program asks for the software to be registered with a code.
Tried ringing the company (CMS ePOS Systems in Birmingham) where I got the software and paid a visit too, they have moved or closed. Also they're not answering or replying to mobile calls/messages left
Been using the software for 14months and it doesn't have a yearly renewal license.
I really dont want to fork out for a another software that my staff have to learn again. The program is a Takeaway ePOS software and is customised to my business.
I have legitimately paid of this software and there is no support which i'm not happy about. Cant find anything on the net about this program. Can anyone help overcome the licensing part of the program?? Will pay for someone's time if they can.

I imagine it sets a flagged once it becomes 'unregistered' and voids the previous key.
Edit - Too slow.

Firstly i'd see if they are still trading (if you have a company number on a invoice or receipt, stick it into company's house website). Also worth contacting Wing Yip Centre and see what happened to them.
Secondly, if it isn't custom software (which after doing a quick google-fu i would say it might be), then have a look in the registry and/or do a right-mouse-click > properties on the ePos .exe (or .dll files under the software directory) and look at the details tab - might give you clues to who actually created the software.
Edit - Sounds fucking dodgy

Do a right-mouse-click (if you can on the touch screen) > properties on cms.exe and click the details tab; if they've filled out the info then i'll display here - might give you clues to who actually designed the software.
Failing that, have a look in the registry (be careful though as you can easily fubar the system) or any associated documents (like help manuals).

I always thought that place was a massive Chinese supermarket, not a business center. Weird looking building!

We have two....
I've bypassed the licence screen so far, by moving everything in the program files into a new folder, and elimiating which files bring up the licence windows......
