Anyone actually excited for it, or not really fussed?
I really can't be fucked with having it here, and can't wait until it's over. Only things I will watch is the football, and the gym when the ladies get all flexible, and possible the swimming.
London was a fucking nightmare yesterday, though, shit going on all over the place

I'm not interested at all.
I am however going to see some of it in super hi vision at BBC Scotland, interested in that bit.

I'll be watching a lot of it, home by 2 each day, and I like all sport.
Good that they've got 24 seperate channels on Sky, so I can flick through if I'm bored.
Still haven't decided to get tickets for something or not, was hoping the hockey was at MK, but its also in London. Feel I should go and watch something as its the only time it'll happen in my life time, but not sure I can be parsed going to London and pissing around there.

Love the Olympics.
Track and field, the sprinting in particular, should be epic. Can't wait to see how Bolt does over the 3 events.

It's looking like it'll be a great 100m final, everyone seems to have caught him up, Blake beat him in the trials of the 1 and 200, Gay is still quick, and there's 1 or 2 more who might be in with a chance on it.
Mo Farah will win at least 1 gold for us, we should get a hatful in the cycling again, and you'd imagine in the pool too, Dai Greene will be close in the 400, and Ohorugu in the womens.
Should be a good few weeks

Love watching Hoy as well, he is a beast.
I remember growing up watching Sally Gunnell, Linford Christie (and his massive dong) and Colin Jackson when all 3 were the best. Hopefully this is the start of another era like that.

On current form Wiggins could win a gold in the time trial. Cavendish is just using the Tour de France as a training camp it would seem. His main rival for the road race is Tom Boonen (Belgish fella) I reckon. He hasn't done the Tour to help better prep for the Olympics.

Not especially excited, I think it's going to make the country a global laughing stock.
Both of the tube stations I use have been flagged as hot spots for congestion and we've had a catastrophic fuck up with the security already.
Looking forward to a handful of the events though.

Not worth the fortune it's costing us, or the disruption to London for the duration of the games.
Plus the weather is going to ruin everything in that grand old British way.

Because no-one coming to the olympics is going to spend any money - It'll bring in more than it's costing.
But the weather is going to fuck things up a bit, I agree with that

Athens and Sydney would like to have a word with you about that. the Olympics costs far more than the revenue it brings in.

I watched that documentary as well.
The bit they refused to mention was the stuff you can't quantify.

There was 4 people in the stadium, one of them must have noticed and let the players know.
Don't know why they're competing anyway, they will win it no matter how well they do or don't.

Condering all the things that we spend money on such as EU etc. I would rather pay an extra £10 a year and get the Olympics than many of the other things we spend money - perfect example is the huge amount of aid money to India which has some of the richest people in the world. Lets help the UK before we start giving money to rich countries.
As I am sporty and enjoy playing many sports, have watched the Olympics for many years its great to see it happening here rather than the other side of the world where half the events are during the night.

Do you think all you do is build stadiums and the Olympics magically turns up on your doorstep?
