Just put a deposit on this today to collect next weekend to replace the EP3 Civic. Didn't like them when they first came out but has really grown on me recently and they are pretty well specced. Came up at a price I really couldn't resist with 30k miles, full mot and the optional 19's, sat nav etc.
Needs one new tyre and the aircon regassing and maybe the bonnet painting.

These have really grown on me as well recently... for the price you do get a lot of car and they are rather on par with the ep3 imo...

I love em. Again I hated them, untill I had a test drive in one about 3 years ago. Just didnt quiet have that straight line punch as the megane 225/r26, astra vxr etc. But they are a brilliant drive and light years ahead of all their rivals interior spec wise. Loads of room in the back too for proper size adults.

Does look awesome in black with those wheels.
Quite a bit slower than the EP3 though.

My EP3 is quite heavily modified as well so I'm sure this will feel slow in comparison but at least it will be comfier and a lot quieter.
Just got to start breaking the EP3 down now which makes me sad as its been the best car I've had.

Thought I might as well update this.
Finally had the bodywork sorted, collected the car midweek but struggled to find anywhere to take photos due to weather/darkness.
Wings, bonnet and both bumpers have been painted. Looks pretty good, waiting for a proper sunny day to check the colour match out though.
Definitely need some tyre shine as well.
Still have the EP3 but its has been returned to totally standard now and the missus has it. It really is not a patch on one of these though IMO. Also the EP3 is no faster despite what people claim.

The facelifted FN2 with LSD beat the EP3 round the TG track IIRC By all accounts, the vtec crossover is just a bit more aggressive in the EP3 which gives the impression it's a quicker car.
Considering the slating Clarkson gave the FN2, the TG magazine rated it the best Hot Hatch at the time!

I know but TG had it in for this car right from the start.
Collected it from the seller with my mate in his standard EP3 and had a few head to heads on the way back and if anything the FN2 was pulling away slightly once in third.

I witnessed a standard EP3 pass a 220+bhp FN2. Both cars going for it along a very long straight. Both cars were ran on the dyno the same day also so a pretty fair comparison. When i say witnessed, i was the car behind the EP3, (Mk2 MR2 N/A) and also passed the FN2.
Very nice looking car you have tho non the less. Would have 1 over an EP3.

in the first photos i liked the wheels, in the second set i thought they looked a bit halfords. do 19's not affect the handling in any way?

Not sure on the handling to be honest as only ever had it with the 19's on, can imagine from my experience with Nova's and Corsa's that it would be better on smaller wheels. Feels a bit more stable and planted than the EP3 to me.
