Like fuck they do

Picked the Corsa up from the garage today, driving round a big roundabout, not messing about or nothing, driving sensibly and it under steered like mad, eased of the power to gain grip next thing the back end kicked out and was almost facing the wrong way but luckily I caught it Didn't notice any oil or nothing on the road, was soaking wet though.

Is this the norm for Corsa's? Drove like a granda the rest off the way home incase it happened again

Just take in steady mate especially in wet.

I don't take it fast round roundabouts. Bendy roads yea but that's 'cos how low I am.

Glad you've got it back on road and experiencing it all again.

A spring on the rear axle to body that adjusts brakes slightly depending on how much weight is in the car. But they are usually rusty and seize so dont work.

Mine was brilliant - took it on several track days and never hand problems. It was fairly low (but not stupid) on some unknown make springs + gas shockers and cav gsi rims with some midrange 45 profile tyre.

The only time it had problems was when I got convienced by a friend I should strip it out for a trip to the ring - it didnt like that as no weight what so ever was over the back and it was set up for rake anyway.

This happened to me once when i was a youngster coming out of maccies carpark in the wet, totally took me by suprise as i wasnt driving fast at all, managed to control it though just looked like one big powerslide, am sure it impressed everyone who would have been watching.

actually thinking about it happened once coming out of tescos when i worked there too, came round a corner in the carpark, again not fast, wet floor, car basically did a 360 at 10mph

they can be made to handle ok, but they arent brilliant, i think most people that have owned corsas and tried to make them handle well and then gone on to better things accept this fact

My front end liked to keep going straight in the wet but the new suspension and strut braces have improved it massively!

Wouldn't say it was the best thing on the road but it handles a lot better than the spring set up

My Corsa handled great, out did most things my friends have round the bends and roundabouts. On Gaz coilovers, Cav RARB, T1R 195/45 R15 tyres

Its when you look at a corsa B suspension setup it makes me giggle. Didn't really understand before, but i look now and it looks half made and like a fairground ride

The Corsa (well the 'B' in my experience anyway) handles shit as standard.

Mine was only lowered on 35mm springs and standard shocks, with 15" wheels and it handled like a go kart. Could chuck it round corners at 60mph and it didn't fishtail or anything.

Redtop's i've owned handled quite well, not a standard setup though I suppose, coilovers, rear arbs, bushes done etc, all adds up.
