So after having a DC2 Integra for about A year, I thought I'd best get something with some torque, I picked up my base car which is this Astra Coupe, which has spent most of it's life in the south of France, in the ownership of a retired old man.
It does seem a shame to rip it apart, the drivers bolster is worn, and the headlights have gone foggy. It's got a full frog Opel service history, and ticked past 100k today.
So my plan is break it, keep the running gear, then buy a base spec Corsa C.

Yeah all sounds good. Hopefully if I did one I'll do it all myself. 3k is good price though.

Maybe next month, or October. But I am getting married in December, so I'll slowly be collecting bits for it, also a Corsa will be cheaper to run, so it makes more sense to potter about in that.

I was happy with my 190 BHP Corsa B, so I'm sure I'll be more than impressed with this.
I need to clear the space on my drive, so I won't have a C for while yet.
My plan is have it ready for the spring action day.

Cheers, are you doing the same?
I'm going for the sleeper look, engine wise nothing major, just a ATB and maybe phase 3 once I can afford it.

Dont see how they can be described as slow!
I imagine with front mount, VXR turbo, injectors and AFM with a map, around the 250/260 bhp mark at a guess??
More than fast enough.

Why not just keep the Coupe and tune it to around 280/300bhp. Will still be plenty fast, but in a car that feels safe and feels like its meant to have that sort of power.
1st dibs on the splitter though if you decide to split it from the bumper.
