If it has a boiling point of 180 degress surely it will boil at 180 degrees.

Coolant wont boil at 100°C water will though, but you shouldnt have straight water in the coolant system anyway

Why would you want coolant that could get to 180? Surely the water getting past 100 is the first warning you have a problem somewhere?

The cooling system is pressurised too so straight water would have a higher boiling point than 100.

you wouldn't want it hitting 180.. but you wouldn't have the pressure build, we've been using it in a few bus/haulage companies with proven gains

It's easy to dismiss a product without even seeing it or it being tested by someone to see a report on it's performance based on information you may know.
Merlin sell it, with them being a motorsport company I doubt they would sell a product that was dodgy or unsuitable?
With regards to the 180 degree point. I guess that is what the coolant has been tested to.

Much cooler running temperatures seen different results on all HGVs but most around .5mpg mark on a short term test,
and thats all tested real time through CAN monitoring.
I'd imagine the performance products would be more about protecting your pride and joy

overcooling isnt good either, it leads to increased wear over time and poorer mpg

cs is a seething pot of negativity. I think the best way of attempting to sort is to completely overhaul the site, make it look like a new and different website and i think that will encourage people to treat it like that
going through making posts every now and again pleaing for people to stop being petulant etc isnt going to work, even if you reach a few people that way more will inevitably pop up

No overcooling isn't good but lets say you were using it in a towing vehicle where the engines under more loads, higher revs than in normal circumstances and moving slower something like this would greatly help cooling efficiency.
