The black makes it look too much like batmans costume, because of all the lines and edges which resemble muscles etc.

I know film classification has been relaxed a bit, but I can not see the remake being any where near as violent.

The ITV edits of this are dreadful. Losing the gore is bad enough but "bad mother crusher"

That isn't ITV's edit! The actors all did their own dubbing and made it corny on purpose. Miguel Ferrer was interviewed and said they came up with as many fuck alternatives as they could.
