Worth while mod on a standard XE? been offered some for £30 second hand not sure if they are worth buying while the engine is on the stand with the sump off.

Yh because if in the future you get cams and chipped ecu it will take the raised rev or if you go twin 45s or tb's

Tbh there 56 plus postage on bay so 30 is half so about right seen as there used i would have them if you are putting a 8v baffle plate in it might need adjusting but for 30 cant moan

Yes good price and a good litle safety mod if like using a red top like ment to used.
Nothing worse than a bottom end that lets go.

But these 2nd hand 1s, can you be sure they are genuine, as iirc, there is alot of fakes of these going about.

I have some genuine brand new in the packet pro series ones for sale, better than the normal ones, don't need to chamfer the caps either.

Got a 8v sump gasket with baffle plate to go on.
Do the caps need chamfering?

Sometimes or the fins on baffle plate need bendin down

2nd hand fiar enough, but how many times have they been torqued down and have they been over tightened? only get so many uses out them from what i heard

Cost me £10 mark could of done it myself put you need a pillar drill

easy enough to counter sink them, bigger drill bit on a bench drill, dont go trigger happy though.

I thought chamfering them was trimming the head of the arp bold down a touch?
Like these what were on ebay a few weeks ago.

I bought them lol thats chamfering and countersinking is making them flush on the cap so no gaps around head of the bolt
