I've just read on FB that a child was attempted to be abducted round the corner from where I work at a clothes store. Now this is unconfirmed but another reply to that said they also had heard of a separate incident of another child attempted to be abducted.
There is also the story in scotland on the BBC of a girl having to jump into a canal to flea a flasher who grabbed her and I have this really bizarre theory which is a bit hollywood/movie-esque however I wanted to ask the following
Have you, in your local area had any confirmed reports of child abductions?
is there something going on nationally with a possible pedo-network i wonder...?

Yes there are national paedo networks but I doubt they are on a spree of child snatching.
There are always (typically false) rumours of children being abducted from shopping centres. A typical version of the story would be a girl being taken into a changing room, head is shaved and dressed like a boy then taken out.
Luckily these are rarely true stories and just scare stories.

Wee kid not to far from where I live was out getting the bin for his mum and someone in a van stopped and asked him did he want to go bowling. Thankfully he knew not to get into a strangers car, wouldn't like to think what happens to kids who get abducted

I saw a great documentary yesterday about eastern european gangsters kidnapping girls and keeping them as sex slaves or selling them on.
The gang was well organised and operated through various cells, mostly in France.
The documentary centered on a dad who went looking for his daughter who had been kidnapped from an apartment in Paris after being tagged by a spotter at the airport.
Luckily he was able to use his CIA training to easily hunt down all the perpetrators and kill them off one by one until he located his daughter and brought her home safe.

We had a weirdo on our estate when i was young, would always come n watch us play footy or on our skates. My older bro and few of his mates 'had a word' with him and he never came back after that. Always remember how weird he looked and not quite understanding it all at that age!!

The whole thing was fucked up at the time, IIRC they got him in court without much evidence, and he broke down and got on with the sentencing.
