Ive just come across an olympic 50p (cycling) which has a clipped planchet.

Ive read that its pretty rare to find a clipped coin, so im guessing being an olympic one it could be worth something?

Anyone clued up on things like this?

might sound stupid but go to ether a coin chop or a pown shop they will be able to tell you make sure they dont try and offer you stupid money

I read earlier that 70% of the total Olympics coins have been hoarded. That's about 10 million pounds worth

Olympic 50p's go for about £1 on eBay, Depends whether they are common or rare ones, some go for more! got about 13 and a mate has got nearly all 26.

I once found a small gold soveriegn. Sold it for £110 after threatening to give it to a paki who could melt it down
