Hit a bump tonight and my mirror fell off

Anyone stuck one back on before? Any idea what the best epoxy resin is to use, don't want it falling off again , or is it best to get a windscreen man out?

Yeah, I bought some 'proper' glass glue, it was utterly useless tho. A week after gluing it on, I went to fit the mirror (twist fit on metal base) and it came straight off. The glue was for metal to glass!

This stuff

Yea I'll put the bracket into the mirror first then glue the whole lot on at once so I'm not putting any big amount of pressure on the windscreen.

I might just pay a window man to do it

From what I've been told a sticky pad will only last so long

Sticky pads are only for fords that stick directly to the window. Wont be any use sticking a mirror boss on with them.

Knocked the one off in my corsa shagging haha. Tried several sticky pads it always still fell off. Took the glue away got the screen really clean and used super glue and it still snapped off!

Just pop into your local windscreen place and they'll put it back on for you for nothing.

Why didn't you just go to the local windscreen place and ask them to do it???

They probably would have done it for free.

I do everything myself, don't like paying people to do things for me when I know I'm more than capable of sticking a mirror to a window

Who said about paying someone??? They would do it for free and properly the first time round

Andy above shows how easy it is to break.
