Hey guys,
My memory is getting seriously stretched on my 4G as i have near 1000 photo's and videos etc on there. Now if i've synced it and delete them off my phone will they still stay on my computer?
There's pictures of my daughter and also my nan before she passed away so can't fuck about with them.

I have copied mine manually to my PC (Like a USB pen)
Done a backup on several occasions of the whole phone and placed these backups on 2 PCS and a hard drive

should work but just to be safe id go into computer, and go into where all the pictures are stored and create a new folder somewhere and copy and paste them all just incase because mine didnt sync before doing the latest ios update and i thought id lost everything but i forgot i made that folder!

PC or Mac? On iPhoto you can import all your pics from the camera and delete them in one go.

I dont sync any photos with itunes, just plug it in as usb device, copy photos off to server, back them up externly, then delete them off phone
Never a fan of third party uploads, im pretty sure they then own the rights to do whatever they want with your photos lol

I keep all my photos on my photostream on iCloud and delete the originals from the camera roll album. Free's up loads of space not having them duplicated in the camera roll.

He's obsessed with Apple. Can't afford an iPhone so now tries to pretend he doesn't like them to cover up the fact.

Photostream is just a temporary storage location - it deletes them after 30 days or rolls around after 1000 images? I presume your then downloading them using something like iphoto etc?
I just copy all the photos off onto my laptop every so often as a backup. Its annoying that on a Mac you have to use iPhoto/Aperture to get your Photostream where as on windows you can just have an app to sync it to files

You can get 128GB (expensive). It's more the cost, you can get a 32GB one for about £15, which is considerably cheaper than apple charge for memory.

It doesn't delete mine after 30 days. I've got photos on there from January this year. I'm at around 900 photos so hasn't started to roll around

It's always the people without Apple stuff that hang around in Apple threads putting little snidey comments in. Weird.

Well my app to Photobucket is buggered just doesn't seem to want to log me in although I can log on the laptop.
I'll just do it as a USB then put on another external hard drive for safe measure

I guess another way is to set up photostream on your PC then you can just copy the photos out of the photostream folder every now and then to a folder somewhere else.
