Seems very very cheap to me - which as always rings alarm bells.... i could be completely wrong..
you are best of deciding who you want to map it - find out what they prefer to use and go with that - i ran OMEX on mine years ago

Presuming you meant you had it for sale by saying you had one 'here'

No sorry not for sale
Would not sell the car, just meant i am running a corsa with Webber Alpha
MegaJolt alot of people use it aswell as megasquirt BUT normal by the time you have added all the bits and bobs on it works out not far off a good mark ECU second hand
Good Luck Beardy

Ah right so that kit on that site isn't everything you need management wise?

you wont see too much of a gain without spending stupid amounts and getting it mapped...
better off buy this, its 190-200bhp easy

Can the xe ecu not be remapped to use TPS instead of AFM like the VTS boys do?

no - they arent flashable ecu's - dont forget the engine / managment dates back to the late 1980's

So what's with the 'won't see too much gain without spending stupid money comment',I thought on a good engine (mines freshly rebuilt) you could gain upto about 30bhp with tbs and management? Which wouldn't cost a massive amount really if I could use that magejolt kit

you would need a set of cams and a flowed head to reach the 200bhp area with a health bottom end, if you want to go alot over this then you would need to rev higher and need arp bolts, steel rods high comp pistons and better cams, all depends on how much power you want to end up with? you would need at least 45mm bodies or 52mm for bigger power.

Tell that to rstuning then.. Cause last I heard they can map them.
MegaJolt is useless for you as it spark only,
Megasquirt is good for the money but you sort o need to know what your doing.
I'd get the direct to head qed bodies I found them easy to fit on my mates,
I had at power bodies which were also awesome,
Management wise ring your local mapper see what they like or use,
May even be able to get a deal for ecu and mapping etc.

I'm not looking for 200bhp though mate, just 170-180 which is why I'm thinking this sort of mod, as it's a relatively easy/quick/cheap gain. Dont want to spend mega amounts though coz I want a let sometime In the very near future.

Same again, don't want to spend the sort of money a qed kit would cost so not really an option to be honest.

Well unless you get some second hand you can forget about bodies. Seeing as you don't want to spend a lot I look for some cheap 45's or bike bodines and cab dizzy set up as said up there. But doubt you'll get the power your after and it'll probably drive worse than it does now and drink aload more fuel.

That's what I was planning on yeah, second hand bike bodies, I know I'd never get a new set of proper car bodies cheap. Been looking at r1's at between about 100-150
