With the Type R up for sale i got the chance of this.

My mates owned it for 3 years and took it from being standard under the bonnet to running 170bhp.


Koni Suspension.
Front Mount, Hardpiped with silicone elbows & crossover.
Decat & Exhaust system.
Seb 2 Chip.
Lockable MBC.
All set-up on a rolling road by local tuner.
169.9 @ 1 bar, was making 190 @ 1.2 bar, but at the time the clutch was slipping, although has now been replaced.

I've looked at getting one loads of times! Really like them but then talk myself out of it, bought a fiat coupe 20v turbo last time I was thinking about buying a punto gt.

A local lad had one when I was about 14 with twin upswept dtm exhaust in the centre and I loved it

Same here, was a burgandy one. Dont think iv ever saw any others.
On a similar note, my mates just bought an R5 GTT a few weeks ago, cant wait to see it on the road

I've only ever seen one that I know was a GT on the road.

ChrisUK had one on Schmidt wheels. Engine wasnt standard so pissed all over mine.

Do remember both driving through Leeds Bradford Airport tunnel, sounded fooking awesome!
