I want bright lights on the corrado. Is there a difference between HID and xenons?
I know nothing really, but fed up with shitty lights and getting blinded by everyone else

Hid's are aftermarket and xenons are factory fitted as far as I know.
You can put hid's bulbs into any headlamp, even without projectors.
Xenon headlights will have projectors in and be set up properly, so as not to blind other road users, like the chavs in saxo's like doing.

I'm already going off the idea now, had a search about on corrado forum and sorting out the existing wiring seems to be the prefered thing to do

If you use the correct bulbs it won't blind people. For reflector headlamps you want to make sure the bulb is H7R or H4R, just needs the R after.

Like antnee said, correct bulbs and a decent kit fitted properly and you wont blind anyone with HID's
Also go for a more white light rather than the blue that chavs have. MJ on here sells decent kits with slim ballasts so easy to hide the wiring. Mine passed an mot with them aswell so beam pattern wasnt shit either

Xenon headlights are just a type of HID. To my knowledge, virtually all HID bulbs use xenon gas.
So no, there's no difference except that xenons are HID's and HID's aren't necessarily xenons.

HID and Xenon refer to the same thing. Gas discharge bulbs/headlights.
The issue as it where is the fact most people use HID re based bulbs in halogen projector bowl headlights, which is a terrible idea. Projectors are slightly better but still give of random light output, hot spots and un uniform distribution and in may cases give worse light than the stock bulbs.
To get "factory" xenons, you need a proper Xenon projector.
I will have a set for sale you can retro fit Jim.

Also In terms of output/colour temp you want no more than 6000k MAX ideally 4300k which is what ALL factory setups run (bar lexus who use 5000 IIRC)

Morimoto Mini H1, used rebased H1 bulbs (Can supply kit as well) Projectors are tiny so fit in most applications (modding requred) You will need new headlights though as yours will have frosted glass which is bad for Xenons

Not always. Lagunas ad Civics come standard with Xenons and don't have projectors, and the lagunas even have "Xenon" written on the inside of the headlight.

Not really, just a big jumble of random photos in a random order. Got about 400 photos on photobucket, but they are mainly so i knew how it went back together or pics of random parts

You just need projectors now. Will be selling my Morimoto H1's if you fancy trying to fabricate a mount.
Those headlights look great quality.
