hi,

basically i have been offered a Corsa Gsi non sunroof shell in smoke gray for 300
the car is in general good condition but

there are a few minor issues with the car,

the passenger door is rusty and damaged so would need a new 1 + painting in smoke grey as far as i know only gsi were made smoke grey so im not able to get a second hand door?

also the front drivers jacking point is badly crushed in is this an issue? its all solid and only serfice rust?

theres a bit of rust around the boot 1 hole and a bit crumbly in rear arch on the last inch of the chassis

is it worth it or will it just end up being a monney pit to get to an ok condition..

i can weld to repair the rear bumper issues

il upload a picture shortly

If its I ly surface rust, why has jacking point collapsed?
Why is te shell not being used by the person that made it a shell?

Sounds like a rot box

jacking point aint really an issue, i had to straighten the jacking points on my sport because someone had been jacking it with a crap trolley jack and flattened it all

the hole on the boots normal but the rust at the rear arch id pull the arch off and check it and have a look at the inner arch as well as there bad for collecting crap in the rear arch and rotting through

smoke grey wasnt just a gsi colour it was available on lots of models

Check its soilid enough and check its a proper gsi then yes. Sports came in smoke grey along with other models pre 97. Easy enough to get parts.

not to bad if thats all thats wrong with it, the bit behind the front bumpers common, rear panels are cheap for them now, ive had to get a few plated in the rear arches where it meets the chassis leg, its a common thing on alot of older vauxhalls, the front jacking points savable wouldnt take much to straighten it and put a bit of strenth back into it

Personally I wouldn't touch it when I stripped my black one found this behind rear bumper and that one looks like it could be nasty behind there

online photo storage

Also my arches were like this again when went for mot couldn't be checked as was low so couldn't get in to push on arches and again them ones look to ne heading this way
