My mate does, hasn't regretted it.
Edit: been using them for over a year now.

I bought one. Handy if you really want to quit I guess, as it helps with the habit of having something in your hands, can still nip out for breaks, etc.
Worrying that there's no real regulation with them tho. All are imported from china where little china men put whatever in them in their little factories.

Well yes, but more to the point that I wouldn't be using it as a replacement but more of a means to an end.

Bloke at work has one - he doesnt use it much.
He picked the strongest one (he is a heavy smoker - long hair, beard, harley davidson type bloke) and says it gives him a stupid headache.
Ive tried a mint one and it was nice.

They're not all imported from China.
enjuice.com make e-liquid for e-cigs using UK-sourced flavours and nicotine solution. You can also buy just the nicotine solution and flavourings and make your own liquid - then you know exactly what's going in it.
Most ready-made atomisers have silica wick which I'm not too keen on so I build my own. This is probably the best value for money one:
http://www.ivapour-elixir.co.uk/parts/rebuildable-atomisers/aga-t2-atomizer.html
You just need to buy some stainless steel mesh to make the wick and some kanthal wire to make the coil. Takes a bit of practice but yields better results. Loads of vids on Youtube.
Best paired with a variable voltage battery kit:
http://www.ivapour-elixir.co.uk/parts/lavatube/chrome-lavatube-4-kit.html
If that sounds like too much work, get an eGo PT kit (charged via regular USB cable, or powered direct by USB if you run out of battery):
http://www.liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=180
I recommend VG liquid over PG liquid - gives a fuller vapour.

Avoid these cunts:
http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk
Repeatedly messed up my orders and sent me faulty stuff and had shitty customer service.
Good suppliers:

Thanks for the info, a bit confused still.
This was the one i started to look at
http://www.ukecigstore.com/e-cigarettes/starter-kits/innokin-itaste-express-vv-black-replaceable-kit
Have also heard people making their own liquid using cannabis and some acetate, interesting

Fair play on Enjuice, at least going off what it says on the website. Most I've encountered when looking however didn't come across as well
I do however still feel like it's unchartered territory so to speak, but maybe that's just me.

My brother bought one yesterday from Sainsburys to help with giving up. He seems pretty happy with it.

I reckon you hit the jackpot with that first one you found. It seems like very good value for money. Much cheaper than the stuff I suggested!

Its the size and look that puts me off, looks a bit druggy to me, not sure how i'd feel walking around sucking on that (unless i pretend its a musical instrument i'm learning)
Are the ones that look like real cigs not worth it?

They're truly shit. Only cost about £5-8 a pop though - you can get them at the Pharmacy in larger Supermarkets ilke Tesco, Sainsbury's etc.
Downsides are:
You've got no idea what's in them
Short battery life
Terrible flavour
Single use - when the battery dies, you have to buy another one

TBH even the ones that look like real cigs make you look like a mong, cause they're a bit oversized than a conventional cig and just look silly
I like the look of the small slim black ones best with the blue LED.

Now i've watched a few videos i understand robs 1st post a bit better, but buying the battery and the atomiser is about £80, i also see some kits are like £200+
Do they work a bit like a vapouriser, like the volcano etc

Vapestick? Probably the least worst of the off-the-shelf ecigs. Vapour tastes a bit like "old shoe."
