He says its not on contract, and wont get blocked.

Swapping phones on the internet is a recipe for disaster imo, don't bother.

I never sell any electrical goods, seems to attract idiots and scammers or people on the dole trying to get something for nothing, or kids at school being weird or black boys trying to earn a living.

So i will be keeping my drawer of phones, ipods, discmans and walkmans until its deemed a historic collection, then i will sell it to a white man so he can display it in a house no one ever goes in.

I'm the same Have a drawer full of old phones that i'll never use and just never got round to selling. Keep meaning to get my old 8890 back out

Got to agree, you're talking about swapping phones via Facebook... What if he blocks the phone? What if you've posted phone to his address and his moving? What if phone is faulty?

If the phone gets blocked and you can prove you used it for a while first, you contact the network who'll unblock it and go after the original owner for fraud. In my experience anyway
