I mentioned on here last week about building an 'Auto Trader' type site specifically for recorded cars.
Well, here it is:

Obviously not much on there at the mo given it's in it's infancy.
If anyone has a cat D, cat C car they fancy listing feel free.

That is a good idea. Looks a good site and well laid out. Maybe a few too many options in the 'find your car' bit though? Just my opinion. Although I realise there is a more basic search function also.

Wanted to keep it as clean and simple as possible.
Agreed about there being lots of options under the 'advanced search', you can leave any of the options and just select the ones you want but given the small number of ads the basic seach should suffice for a while.

Yep my free trial of Photoshop ran out yesterday so resorted to paint 
Hoping to do something a bit more fancy when I get chance, it's more of a placeholder for now.

Why does the Vectra 'featured' car say it is a vivaro on the detail page?

A price for the cars should be mandatory, I hate it when looking at cars for sale and there's no price. Site looks well though.

It is mandatory, it's the first thing on the 'features' list, not ideal I know, I need to find a way to make it more obvious.

Very good idea in principal. Im sure with a few tweaks here and there and the right exposure it could be a very good site. Also, once you are established it could be a nice little earner.

Agreed as with any site, especially new one's the hard part is attracting visitors, I'm hoping to focus on the blog, maybe stick a new one up each week with some interesting content to keep the site in search results.
After less than a week it's already number one in google when you search 'recorded cars', a few days ago it was nowhere to be seen.
I've paid for some PCP ads, start small and all that.
I'm optimistic but if nothing comes of at least I can't say I didn't try.

Too right, it was so hard finding a decent 'package' out the box to use that didn't look terrible. Having something custom built I was looking at £1000's which is unrealistic at the moment. I've had to do a lot of work with this to get it looking how I wanted but adding a postcode search is beyond my skills. Happy to pay someone to add it if it's not going to cost a fortune (I actually U2U'd Ed off here to see if he was interested in doing a few bits for me).
